Appreciation post: the drawer front that taught me to stop trusting my tape measure
I was building a set of 6 kitchen drawers for a job in Tacoma and every front came out about 3/32 too wide, which I blamed on my saw. Then a guy at the shop handed me a $12 folding rule and told me to check my tape hook against a known 12 inch mark. Sure enough my tape was off by a hair, so I switched to story sticks and never looked back, anyone else get burned by a cheap tape before?
