Appreciation post: the finisher who told me my drawer fronts looked like a beaver chewed them
I had a finisher named Ray look at a maple dresser I built back in March and he pointed at the bottom edge of a drawer front where my block plane had torn out the grain. He said "you're planing against the grain on figured stock, try a 50 degree frog or just scrape it" and I switched to a cabinet scraper for all my final passes after that. Has anyone else had a finisher or installer give it to you straight like that and it actually stuck with you?
