Got called out for a bad signal at a house in the hills last week and found a squirrel had chewed clean through the main drop line.
I spliced in a new section with a waterproof connector and wrapped the whole run in that metal mesh conduit, so has anyone else found a better way to keep rodents off the lines?

That metal mesh is a solid move, I've used it for years. Some guys swear by coating the line in that bitter anti-chew spray too, gives you a double layer of protection. What brand of mesh did you end up using?

Yeah, that double layer idea... wish I'd thought of it sooner.
