Had a 4 outlet day in Bay Ridge turn into a 9 hour mess because one wall was full of old knob and tube
Last Thursday I figured I'd knock out a simple 4 outlet job in Bay Ridge before lunch, but the second I pulled the faceplate off I saw fabric wrapped wires from like 1930. Spent the rest of the day fishing new romex through a wall packed with old lath and plaster, and when the lady asked why it took so long I just showed her a handful of the old wire and she goes "oh that's the stuff my dad used to talk about." Any of you ever walk into a quick job and instantly know you're gonna be there till dark?
