I thought those new fiber optic splice-on connectors were just a gimmick for speed, but after using them on a 12-unit apartment job in Phoenix last month, I was shocked at how much time they saved on reworks.

The rep swore they cut splice failure rates by half, and after messing up three traditional splices in a row under a tight crawl space, I tried one and it passed the light meter test on the first try, so has anyone else made the switch and seen fewer callbacks?

That sounds like a real game changer.

I saw that same product demo last week and honestly the battery life seemed pretty average. The specs they showed only beat last year's model by like 10 percent. Calling it a game changer feels like a stretch when it's basically the same thing with a slightly better camera.
