Switched from a tone and probe to a cheap fox and hound on a 12 unit MDU in Reno and cut my locate time in half
Spent two days last week in a 12 unit building in Reno hunting for one dead drop behind drywall, and my old tone and probe kept bleeding signal into every other line. Grabbed a $40 fox and hound off the truck instead and it isolated the right pair in about 90 seconds. Anyone else find the cheap pair toners beat the fancy meters on apartments with shared walls?
