Can we talk about the repair shop in Tulsa that keeps a Petoskey stone on the counter?
I stopped by a shop in Tulsa last week to drop off a lens for a clean and the owner had this big Petoskey stone sitting right by the register. I asked if it was for good luck and he swore it helps him keep his hands steady when he does shutter work. I laughed at first but then he showed me a 1968 Nikon F he just finished and the timing was dead on. Anyone else got weird little trinkets on their bench that they swear actually help?
My grandpa had a bent railroad spike on his workbench for 40 years. He swore it kept the shop from getting robbed, which worked right up until someone stole the spike. Tulsa guy sounds way more practical with the steady hands thing.
