inMy old digital camera's battery door broke and finding a replacement took me almost 8 months of checking thrift stores and online auctions.
Spot this all the time with old game consoles and flip phones. We're not just keeping stuff, we're trying to save a piece of how things worked. It's a weird kind of personal history.

inI always thought watching shows week-to-week was the only way, but binging the entire first season of 'Shrinking' in one weekend changed my mind completely.
Honestly, it's just TV. I doubt the viewing method makes that big a difference.

inI finally got my bean soup right after my neighbor gave me a tip
My buddy swears by adding a splash of vinegar to his rice while it cooks, says it makes it way fluffier.

inFunny thing: My welding helmet fogged over and I accidentally decorated a pipe with squiggles.
Yeah, that's a good point from @scott.claire about random polishing. I saw a guy online who let his angle grinder slip while cleaning a steel table, and it left these wild, wavy lines. He just went with it and clear-coated the whole thing. Now it's a one-of-a-kind piece. Maybe the trick is to not fight the mess-up, but to polish or finish the area around it so it looks on purpose. Could you do that with your squiggles, like buff the pipe to make them stand out more?

inMy DIY concrete countertop failed because I rushed the curing time
So what was the actual timeline on that project? Like, did they pull the forms after a day and just hope for the best? I've seen guys try to walk on a slab after 48 hours because it "felt hard," and it was a total disaster. The whole thing just spiderwebbed under the weight.
