Hit 1000 shutters repaired, never expected that number to feel so weird

I keep a little tally in my shop notebook, just hash marks for every shutter job. Last Tuesday I hit 1000 on a beat to hell Canon AE-1 from a guy in Portland. I knew I was close, but seeing that 5th hash row fill up hit different. A thousand shutters means I've probably rebuilt the same mechanism so many times I can do it half asleep now. But it also means I've seen a thousand different ways people break their cameras. It made me wonder, how many is the average repairer doing a year? Anyone else keep counts like this or am I just weirdly OCD about it?
