Pro tip: the $85 spanner wrench that paid for itself on one Nikon F2
Back when I was fixing film bodies out of my garage in the 90s, I dropped $85 on a proper spanner wrench for ring nuts and it felt like way too much money for one tool. That thing saved me maybe 20 stripped mounts over the next decade, but I still see guys on eBay trying to pry ring nuts off with a flathead and chewing up the threads, which burns way more than $85 in parts and rework. Anyone else still using a tool from back then that you thought was a waste of cash at first?
