Vent: the guy at the camera swap in Dayton sold me a 'mint' Nikon F2 with a stripped shutter screw
Two weeks back at the Dayton camera swap I paid $140 for a Nikon F2 the seller swore was mint, and when I cracked it open on my bench the shutter release screw was already chewed to hell. I could tell right away someone had been in there before me with a wrong-size driver and just cranked down until it grabbed. My whole point here is that 'mint' means nothing anymore, people slap that word on anything with a clean body and the guts tell a different story. I ended up retapping the hole and fitting a slightly longer screw, 20 minutes of work, but now I'm out $140 plus my time. How do you all handle a seller who swears the inside was never touched, do you push back or just eat it?
