Wax pencil solved my sticky aperture blades issue

Old Pentax lenses kept getting oil on the blades after cleaning, and graphite lube made it worse, so I tried a plain wax pencil on the pivot points and it's been smooth for 2 weeks now, has anyone else used this trick or am I asking for trouble down the line?

Hold on, two weeks is nothing. I mean, give it a few months of actual use before you start calling it a fix. Wax can get into places you don't want it over time, especially if the lens gets warm. Maybe it's fine, but I wouldnt trust a $5 pencil to solve something that's basically a grease problem. If it starts sticking again, you're back to square one with a messier clean up. idk, seems like a band-aid to me.
