My cheap camp stove fuel valve froze open at 2am in the Smokies last October

Had to disassemble it with a multitool by headlamp in the rain and spent the rest of the trip boiling water just to get a hot meal, has anyone else had a stove fail on them like that?

Is it really even a camping trip if some piece of gear doesn't completely fall apart at the worst possible moment? I had a brand new camp stove that wouldn't light above 40 degrees, so I feel your pain big time.

Wait, do you actually WANT your gear to break at 2am in the rain? That sounds like a Total nightmare, @jenniferwells. A properly working stove lets you eat whenever you want, not just when you finally wrestle it back together.
