Unpopular opinion: expensive camp stoves are a waste and a guy named Dale at Lake Wenatchee proved it to me
Everyone in my camping group swears you need a $150+ stove for real trips but I watched Dale cook a full breakfast for 6 of us on a $22 Coleman single burner at Lake Wenatchee last August. He just said "heat is heat" and kept flipping pancakes while my buddy fussed with his fancy regulator that kept flaming out in the wind. I've used that cheap burner on 14 trips since and it has never once let me down. What's the most you've paid for a stove and did it actually cook better?
