Locked out of my own condo after a late payment fee spiral

I missed a strata fee payment by 3 days last month in my Vancouver condo. They slapped a $50 late fee on top, then added interest every week after that. The worst part was when they put a lien on my unit without even calling me first. Anyone else deal with strata being super aggressive over small delays?

Just laugh at how they treat you like some kind of criminal for being 3 days late lol. A lien over 50 bucks? That's next level petty, almost impressive. Meanwhile their property manager probably drives a newer truck than half the owners in the building. Hope they at least took you out for dinner before they slapped that on your title.

Did they at least give you a warning before filing that lien, or was it just a surprise?
