Unpopular opinion: re-greasing press-fit bottom brackets actually works

After swapping chains three times on my Trek in Portland with creaking still driving me nuts, I pulled the cranks and packed the shell with marine grease before re-installing and the noise vanished completely has anyone else tried this trick or am I just lucky?

Remember when we used freehand feathering on every layered cut?

Back in 2010 I was in Salem doing razor cuts with freehand feathering on every layered bob, took forever but clients loved that soft texture. Now I switched to point cutting with shears for most layered cuts after a mentor showed me it saves 15 minutes per head and still gives that lived-in look. Anyone else dump their old techniques for something faster but still get good results?

Locked out of my own condo after a late payment fee spiral

I missed a strata fee payment by 3 days last month in my Vancouver condo. They slapped a $50 late fee on top, then added interest every week after that. The worst part was when they put a lien on my unit without even calling me first. Anyone else deal with strata being super aggressive over small delays?

Had the worst day of my teaching career last Wednesday

Three kids got into a fight during my 5th period class, and I had to break it up before security showed up. The principal said I handled it fine, but I keep replaying those 10 seconds in my head. Anyone else ever deal with something like this in a classroom?

Just found out hostels in Japan can be as cheap as $12 a night

I was planning a trip to Tokyo and stumbled on a blog that said capsule hostels in Shinjuku run $12-15 if you book 3 months out. Has anyone actually snagged one that cheap or is that just clickbait?
