My realtor called me out on overpricing and it saved me $15,000 in Surrey

I had my condo listed at $525,000 for three months with zero offers. My realtor finally sat me down and said the granite countertops and hardwood floors I was bragging about just don't matter in this market anymore, buyers care about parking and storage. I dropped it to $499,900 and had three offers within two weeks. Has anyone else had a realtor give them a hard truth like that about their place?

Heard the same thing from my friend Kim. She kept bragging about her "updated kitchen" but the building had a flooding issue in the parking garage nobody wanted to deal with. Once she stopped fighting the realtor and dropped the price by 12 grand, a nurse snapped it up in like 4 days.

Got told my "cozy" 500 square foot studio was really just a closet with a hot plate. Realtor said I had to stop calling the building amenities "charming" when it meant the pool was green and the gym had one broken treadmill. Dropping the price by $20,000 got me an offer in a week from a guy who just needed a place to sleep between shifts. Funny how honesty works better than pretending you live in a luxury loft when you really don't.
