Shoutout to the mississauga housing market for killing my 2019 plans
Back in 2019 my wife and I put aside $45,000 for a townhouse in Mississauga. We figured we'd wait a bit, save some more, and buy in 2021. Then the world shut down, rates went to the floor, and the same units we were looking at jumped from $580k to almost $900k in about 14 months. Our $45k suddenly felt like pocket change, so we just kept renting and watching the ship sail. Anyone else sitting on a down payment that stopped meaning anything?
