Started seeing the same decline here in my yard around the same time. That hawk is probably a big part of it since they love picking off doves. They are ground feeders and pretty slow so they are easy targets. Also noticed my local cat population went up and that definitely scared them off too.

@samw47 is right, the driving test episode carries the whole Pilaf saga. Skipping filler is like only watching the final fight of Rocky movies and calling yourself a fan. Those slower episodes let characters breathe instead of just yelling power levels at each other. The Red Ribbon Army stuff has some of the best comedic timing in the whole series. People who skip it miss out on General Tao throwing a pillar like a baseball. They're using episode guides like a cheat code instead of actually experiencing the show.
