I went to look at a 1970s townhouse and the listing said 'updated,' but during the walkthrough I noticed the bathroom fan vented straight into the attic, which I only caught because I brought a flashlight and checked the hatch. Sure, the new countertops looked nice, but that moisture trap means mold is coming within 5 years. Anyone else had a similar 'hidden issue' moment during a viewing that changed how you prep for offers?
