Dropped $140 on a heated vest for the ride to Jasper and it died 40 minutes in
Rode out last Saturday morning at 6am with the temp showing -2 and that vest was toast before I even hit the highway. The battery pack said full when I left my place in Hinton, so either it lied or the cold ate it. Anyone else had a heated layer quit on them mid trip, or did I just get a lemon?
Ah yes, the classic "battery said full" scam, the vest version. I had the same thing happen with a heated jacket in Canmore, showed three bars at the hotel and then gave up about two blocks down the road. Pretty sure lithium packs just hate the cold and lie straight to your face once they freeze. Check your manual though, some of them have a low temp cutoff where they shut down to protect the cells. Did yours flash any lights before it quit, or just go quiet like a rock?
