My front tire blew on a logging road near Nanaimo at 8am and somehow it started the best week of riding I've ever had

Me and my buddy spent 3 hours patching the tube with a tire plug kit and duct tape on a gravel road in the rain, then a retired bike mechanic pulled over in his F-150 and gave us his last spare tube for free, and that random act of kindness led to us meeting a whole group of riders at a diner in Coombs who invited us to a private trail network that had the smoothest single track I've ever touched, has anyone else had a breakdown turn into something amazing like that?

Had to laugh reading this cause I used to be the type who would just get pissed off at a breakdown and call it a wasted day. But stories like this changed my mind completely. Now I kinda low key hope something goes wrong on a trip just to see what happens next.

Has the best part of that been the people you met when things went sideways, or more just the unexpected sights you wouldn't have seen otherwise?
