Riding through the Kootenays on Highway 3, the shoulder situation near Salmo needs a heads up
Did a 280 km loop from Nelson out to Salmo last weekend and the gravel pushed onto the shoulder past the summit made two corners sketchy enough that I slowed to 40. I get that the plows can only do so much in spring, but the loose stuff sitting right in the tire line caught me off guard. Anyone ride that stretch regularly and know if the cleanup gets better by June, or should I just plan around it?
