PSA: I chose a 12-inch miter saw over a sliding compound for a Reno kitchen job

The sliding one felt too bulky for the tight corners, and the 12-inch cut everything I needed just fine. Anyone have a go-to tool they pick for small spaces?

My old cordless oscillating tool gets me out of more jams than anything else in my bag.

Tight corners" is right. My sliding saw would've taken out a cabinet just turning it on. @the_pat has the right idea, just vibrate your way through the problem.

Vibrate your way through? That sounds like a good way to make a mess and ruin your blade. For a clean cut in a tight spot, a good hand saw or even a coping saw gives you way more control. Those oscillating tools just make dust and noise when you need real precision.
