That $80 laser level I almost didn't buy has been a lifesaver
Spent 80 bucks on a self-leveling laser last spring after squinting at a string line for the umpteenth time on a basement remodel in Akron. It paid for itself on the first wall, no question. Anyone else finally give in and buy one after years of saying you didn't need it?
Ever had one of those friends who buys every gadget under the sun but never uses them? My buddy Mike is that guy. He bought a laser level two years ago for a shelf project, used it once, then it sat in his garage. Last month his wife finally made him hang a whole wall of pictures and he dragged that thing out. He texted me a photo of perfectly straight frames saying he finally understood why I nagged him about getting one. Now he won't shut up about it, which is funny because he used to call it my fancy toy.
