Cheap puzzle from the dollar store vs. a thrifted one... I picked wrong

I had to choose between a $1.25 puzzle of a random landscape at Dollar General and a $2 one of a vintage soda ad at Goodwill last Saturday. Picked the Dollar General one because it was brand new, but the pieces were so badly cut that half of them didn't fit right and I gave up after 20 minutes. Has anyone else had way better luck with used puzzles from thrift stores than with those discount bin ones?

Last Tuesday I ran into Carol from two doors down at the mailbox and she mentioned she makes stir fry twice a week because she found a way to make frozen broccoli actually crispy. She throws the frozen florets straight into a dry hot pan no oil for about 2 minutes until the ice steams off. Then she adds oil and cooks them like normal. I tried it that same night with a bag of frozen stir fry mix from Aldi and it actually worked. No more soggy veggies. Has anyone else found a hack for making frozen vegetables taste fresh?

Has anyone else dealt with unmarked utilities on residential jobs?
