TIL my 300th hand-cut dovetail snuck up on me and it finally looked right

I started keeping a tally on the shop wall after my first dozen dovetails came out gappy and ugly back in 2022. Last Tuesday I marked number 300 with a pencil and stepped back, and the joint actually closed up tight with no gaps, which never happened on the first hundred. How many reps did it take before your joinery finally felt automatic?
