The big difference for me was the characters. After three episodes of 'Boiling Point,' I still didn't really care about anyone, but 'The Bear' made me feel invested in Carmy and Sydney's struggle almost immediately. The pacing is just way tighter. Has anyone else tried both and felt one was a much easier binge than the other?

I saw an ad for a 'mystery box' from a popular anime merch site, promising a haul of figures and shirts from shows like Jujutsu Kaisen and Spy x Family for about sixty bucks. The box arrived yesterday and it was huge, so I got really excited. I opened it up and it was just a mountain of packing paper with one, lonely Demon Slayer keychain at the bottom. It wasn't even a main character, it was like, the guy who sells swords. Has anyone else been burned by one of these 'curated' boxes? I feel like I paid for air.

Back in my first year of design school, maybe 2010, we had to sketch every single piece on paper, then use rulers and French curves to draft the pattern. It took me a full day just to get a simple dress block right. Now, I do almost everything in CLO3D or on my iPad with Procreate first. The switch happened for me about five years ago when I got a freelance job needing ten quick mock-ups in two days. I couldn't have done it without digital tools. You can tweak a dart or change a sleeve length in seconds instead of redrawing the whole thing. It saves so much time and fabric, but I do miss the feel of pencil on vellum sometimes. Has anyone else found a good balance between keeping the old hand-sketching skills sharp and using new tech?

Just had a customer's carbon seatpost snap clean off during a test ride

It was a 3 year old model from a big brand, and the break was right at the clamp line. I'm stuck between thinking it was a hidden flaw in the layup and wondering if the rider just cranked the binder bolt way too hard. Has anyone else seen a failure like this on a relatively new post?
