Vent: Went to a model home in Phoenix, their carpet install made me cringe

I took my wife to see some new builds last Saturday just to kill time. Walked into this $500k model and the carpet was laid so BAD. Seams were showing right by the doorways and I could feel a hump in the middle of the hallway. I asked the sales lady who did the floors and she just shrugged. How do builders keep getting away with this? Has anyone else seen shoddy work like that in new construction near them?
