Found a $2.50 bag of "ugly" peppers at the Richmond farmers market that made 6 meals
Stopped by the farmers market on Cary St in Richmond on a Saturday morning and this one stall had a big crate labeled "seconds" with bell peppers for $2.50 a bag. The vendor said they just have weird shapes or soft spots so grocery stores won't take them. I took them home, chopped and froze most of them, and used the rest in stir fry, eggs, and a big pot of chili all week. Does anyone else hit up the end-of-market discount bins? I feel like I've been sleeping on those stalls.
