Stopped buying bagged greens after my $9 salad went bad in 2 days

I kept grabbing those pre-washed spinach bags because they felt like a shortcut. But every single week I'd throw out half of it. Then I did the math at my local Kroger in Columbus. I was spending like $9 a week on greens that mostly rotted. Switched to a head of romaine for $1.29 and it lasts me 5 days easy. Plus I wash it once and pat it dry. Way less plastic too. Am I the only one who fell for the convenience trap for way too long?
