Frozen veggie bags beat fresh for my budget and my sanity
I used to buy fresh broccoli and bell peppers every week, tossing half of it when it went slimy. Last month I grabbed a 2 pound bag of frozen mixed veggies for $1.89 at Aldi. Turns out I waste way less, and it cooks up fine in stir fries and soups. The texture is a little softer, sure, but for the price I can't argue. Anyone else find frozen stuff actually saves you more than the sale rack? What's your go to frozen veggie hack?
Did you notice a big difference between the Aldi brand and the bigger name bags, or is it all pretty much the same once it hits the pan? Been thinking about switching over but the store brand stuff always looks kinda icy in the bag.
