Broke my last offset spatula mid-service on a Friday rush

I was flipping a 9lb salmon fillet at my station in Portland and the blade just snapped clean off the handle, right in front of a full pass. I had to use a fish turner and tongs for the rest of the shift, which messed up my crust on the next two orders. Anyone else had a favorite tool fail at the worst possible moment, and what did you switch to that actually fixed the problem?
