Pro tip: stop using those cheap wire brushes on clay flues
I saw three different guys at the supply house last week grabbing those $8 all-purpose wire brushes for clay tile liners. They tore up the glaze on my last two jobs before I learned the hard way that nylon brushes are the only way to go on smooth clay. Has anyone else had to redo a flue because their brush scratched up the surface?
