That 4-in-1 brush head I ignored actually saves my back now
I bought one of those swivel brush kits for a stainless chimney last spring and let it sit in my work truck for 5 months. Finally tried it on a creosote-heavy job in Lancaster last Tuesday, and the flex joint let me hit a tight offset without dropping my ladder. It cut that sweep time from 90 minutes down to about 50, plus I wasn't cranking my shoulder the whole day. Anyone else find a tool they wrote off that turned out to be worth the space?

Ninety minutes down to fifty? That's a whole extra job you could fit in the same day. I gotta ask, was the creosote real bad or was it just the angles eating up all that time? Cause I've had sweeps where I spent more time repositioning the ladder than actually scrubbing the flue. The flex joint part is what gets me though, I always figured those swivel heads were a gimmick for guys who didn't want to buy the right sized rod. Maybe I've been wrong this whole time, huh?
