That $450 rotary brush kit nearly wrecked my Sunday job in Omaha
Spent the cash on a motorized sweep head and it seized up halfway through a creosote clog, leaving me to hand-scrape for 2 extra hours, so has anyone else had better luck with the older cable-driven models?

Changed my mind completely after watching a buddy's cable model chew through the same kind of clog without even blinking. I was all in on the new rotary stuff because the marketing made it sound like the future, but that seizure cost me a whole Sunday and my back still aches. Now I see the older ones as the workhorses, sure they're clunkier and less fancy, but they don't quit when the job gets dirty. That little spinny head just ain't worth the cash if you're actually using it on real messes, not just light dust. Stick with what's proven, I guess.
