E-bike vs bus commute for a month, the e-bike won by a mile
I did a 30 day test in Portland, 15 miles round trip to work each way. Bus took 55 minutes and cost $90 for the month pass, e-bike took 38 minutes and cost about $3 in electricity. The real kicker was the bus got stuck in traffic 4 times while the bike lane stayed clear. My lungs felt worse on bus days too, all that diesel exhaust at the stops. Anyone else switch and notice the time savings add up faster than they expected?
