Hit 40 mpg on a 200 mile drive and now I think the hybrid hype is overblown
I drove my 2015 Corolla from Columbus to Cleveland and back last weekend, and the trip computer said 41 mpg. That is a plain gas car with 120,000 miles on it, no battery pack, no plug. Everyone keeps pushing hybrids and EVs as the only way to cut emissions, but I think we are sleeping on just keeping old efficient cars on the road longer. What is your take on fixing up used cars vs buying new electric ones?
