Took the bus for a month instead of my EV, here's what happened
I live in Austin and have driven a Leaf for 3 years. But last month my charger broke and the shop said 3 weeks for a part. So I decided to just use the bus and my bike for everything instead of renting a car. Honestly it was way less painful than I thought it would be. The bus got me to work in 40 minutes vs 25 in the car, not terrible. But the real shocker was that I saved about $180 in charging costs and parking fees. I mean, I still think EVs are the future, but maybe we don't push them as hard when decent transit exists. Has anyone else tried ditching their car for a month and actually liked it more than they expected?
