Chose a 5th axis over a bigger vise and no regrets so far

I had to pick between adding a rotary 5th axis to my Haas or buying a bigger Kurt vise for the big job I keep getting. Went with the 5th axis last month, messed up the first setup bad, but once I got the offsets right it cut setup time on those angled brackets in half. Anyone else run a trunnion for small batch stuff or do you just muscle through with angle plates?

Three setups in, and I’m already seeing how that upfront headache pays off every time you touch the part again. It’s kinda like how I finally got a second drying station at the shop, the first week was pure chaos but now every dog gets out the door faster. I mean, once you accept the learning curve, anything that cuts repeat work is pretty hard to regret.
