Old controller on a new machine taught me a lesson

I hooked up a 1998 Fadal controller to my 2021 Haas last Tuesday just to see if the conversational mode felt the same. Ran a simple pocket cycle and the damn thing posted moves that would've crashed the spindle if I hadn't caught it in the sim. Anyone else ever mix old control software with new hardware and get weird results?
