Old timer told me to stop blowing off my machines with air hose

I always used the air hose to clean chips off my Haas VF-2 after every part. This old guy named Dave who's been running CNC since the 80s told me I was just pushing debris into the way covers and ball screws. He was right. After 6 months of using a vacuum and coolant flush instead, my Z axis ball screw finally stopped making that grinding noise.
