Shoutout to the old timer in Toledo who told me to stop climb milling my finish passes
I ran the same 6061 aluminum bracket for 2 weeks doing climb milling on my finish pass because thats what the internet said was right. Guy at the Toledo shop I used to work at told me to try conventional on the finish and it cut my tool wear from 4 inserts a shift down to 1. Surface finish on the 0.75 inch bore came out way better too, no more chatter marks. Now I rough with climb and finish with conventional and it just works. Anyone else running it that way or do you keep climb all the way through?
