Tool offset typo cost me 40 parts before I caught it

Running a repeat job in Tulsa last Tuesday, I punched in a tool offset wrong by 0.015 and didn't check the first piece like I usually do. By the time the alarm went off on the probe, I had scrapped a whole tray of parts. Anyone else got a story about skipping a basic check that bit you in the ass?

Used to think first piece checks were for rookies who couldn't trust their math. Then I ate a full shift of scrap last year and now I'm that paranoid guy double checking everything. Live and learn, right?
