Unpopular opinion: I stopped using aerosol cleaners on my mill and the shop guys act like I broke a sacred rule, but the air is WAY cleaner now.

Man I made the same switch last year, just using simple rags and a spray bottle with diluted cleaner now. Got the same weird looks from some of the old timers who treat that aerosol can like a security blanket. But you're totally right, the difference in how the air feels is huge, no more that chemical fog hanging around. It's one of those things where the old way just sticks around because it's what everyone knows.

Aerosols give a deeper clean, so the fog is worth it.
