Can we talk about how bad my code got after 3 weeks of leaning on autocomplete
I started a free intro Python class at the library in Reno back in January, and for the first two weeks I typed everything out by hand. Then I turned on AI autocomplete and let it finish my lines for me. Three weeks later I bombed a simple exercise on loops and lists that I had passed before, because I could not write a for loop from scratch anymore. If you are just starting out, keep autocomplete off for a month and make yourself fight through the blank screen. Has anyone else had their basics get worse after leaning on those tools too early?
