I finally bought a $22 kitchen scale for my pour over and it fixed my worst cup
For months my morning pour over tasted sour and weak no matter what I did. I kept blaming my grinder and almost dropped $150 on a new one. Then I grabbed a cheap digital scale at Target for $22 and started weighing beans instead of scooping. Turns out I was using like 14 grams of coffee for 400 grams of water, way off from the 24 grams I needed. First cup after that was night and day, way sweeter and fuller. Also started timing the pour and it hit 3 minutes on the dot. Anyone else find out their ratio was trash the whole time?
