TIL the guy at my LCS in Fresno was right about variant covers being a trap
I spent $140 on 6 foil variants last month thinking they'd hold value, and when I went back to trade them the owner just laughed and showed me a bin of the same books marked 50 cents each, so now I want to know if anyone actually makes money on these or if we're all just paying for shiny cardboard.

My buddy filled a long box with those same foil books for ten bucks last year.
