Hit 500 dives last month, did not feel like anything special until the invoice arrived

Been at this for about 7 years now, mostly inland and some harbor work around Norfolk. Hit number 500 on a routine hull inspection. Didnt think much of it. Then I looked back at my logged hours and realized I've spent over 1,100 hours under water. That number hit different. My first dive was in 40 feet of murky water, couldnt see my own gloves. Now I'm doing 120 foot runs without blinking. Anyone else count their dives and get surprised by the total, or was I just not paying attention?

The invoice is what gets you, right? My buddy hit 300 and only realized it when his gear insurance premium went up because of the hours logged.

The invoice snuck up on me too, had no clue how fast those hours added up.
