Hit 500 logged dives, but what stuck with me was dive 487
I was logging dives for a harbor job in Tacoma and realized I'd passed 500 without even noticing, but the real milestone was dive 487 where a loose bolt on my helmet strap taught me to triple-check gear before every single descent, has anyone else had a random number like that become their benchmark?

Dive 312 for me, a fin strap that snapped mid-drift off Catalina. Used to laugh at guys who did the full pre-dive checklist on every shore entry, thought it was overkill. Now I'm that guy, checking my buddy's gear twice before we even get our feet wet.
